Job Description

Provides operational support for satellite and telecommunications systems by analyzing, maintaining, and troubleshooting RF communications infrastructure. Supports day-to-day operations, vendor coordination, and system optimization to meet mission requirements.

  • Analyze, operate, maintain, and modify telecommunications and satellite communications systems in accordance with operational standards. Monitor performance of telecommunications systems and vendor-provided services to ensure availability and reliability.

  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, adjustment, and repair of telecommunications and satellite hardware.

  • Assist with planning and coordination of telecommunications equipment moves, installations, and upgrades.

  • Conduct system usage reviews and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Maintain technical documentation, system records, and prepare operational reports.

  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance on telecommunications features and functionality.

  • Comply with all applicable security, safety, and program requirements.

 Desired Qualifications

  • Associates' degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience supporting telecommunications or satellite communications systems

  • Experience with RF, modems, and basic SATCOM concepts preferred

Clearance: Secret

Certifications and Training

  • IAT Level I

  • Super High Frequency (SHF) SATCOM Operator Course

  • SHF Maintenance Course

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.15 - $44.85. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
