Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Centers of Expertise (COE) Solutions Advisor for the GDIT Federal Health Division (FedHealth), you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on the COE Solutions Advisor joining our team to develop and guide our growth efforts in the areas of Cyber, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Mission Software (Up-the-Stack) technology solutions and centers of expertise in support of our FedHealth government customers.

The responsibilities of this role may include developing solutions and leveraging tools/techniques to better optimize data analytics, perform cyber functions, and enable/optimize software development. Responsibilities include applying techniques to develop growth strategies and solutions, proposal artifacts and content, and provide leadership in the application of GDIT developed solutions and digital accelerators.

HOW A COE SOLUTIONS ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Drive Entrepreneurial GDIT COE Pursuits:

  • Identify emerging COE technologies and trends that can drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute innovative Cyber, AI, and mission software projects within the division, fostering a culture of experimentation and risk-taking.
  • Mentor and support internal teams in developing their own entrepreneurial initiatives by creating, designing, and developing/leveraging COE solutions and capabilities within the Federal Health market.
  • Analyze Request for Information/Quote/Proposal (RFI/RFQ/RFP) requirements and develop responsive solutions around COE solutions to provide customers with efficient, smart and safe utilization of the technology

Manage Divisional COE Strategy Pipelines:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and COE pursuit teams to define and prioritize COE strategy pipelines for each division.
  • Ensure alignment between COE projects and overall business objectives, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Regularly review and update the COE strategy pipeline with COE pursuit leads and business development executives based on market trends, technological advancements, and changing business needs.
  • Support the pursuit of COE-based opportunities within the FedHealth Market with customer meetings, solution discussions, proposal contributions and engaging with internal sales and business leaders to identify opportunities for GDIT growth.

Lead Divisional COE Strategies and Solution Priorities:

  • Work closely with division leaders to develop comprehensive COE strategies tailored to their specific business challenges, and understand their specific needs in terms of resources for COE initiatives.
  • Identify key areas for investment in COE solutions that can improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, or drive new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the COEs to ensure alignment on resource allocation, best practices, and technology standards.
  • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and technical support to teams in selecting the most appropriate COE technologies and tools for existing programs and new growth opportunities.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of delivery and growth of COE initiatives within each division.
  • Regularly report on progress, challenges, and outcomes of strategic COE pursuits to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide actionable insights based on performance data to help drive decision-making and resource allocation.

Collaborate on Other COE and Division Strategies and Priorities:

  • May be assigned as a task or project leader on programs for short to long-term assignments (Not a people manager)
  • Coordinate “reach back” with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues.
  • Actively identify, monitor and incorporate industry & vendors


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology strategy and management, preferably in a corporate setting with a focus on driving innovation through technology
  • Required Technical Skills: Ability to create exceptionally written, compliant, and compelling proposal narrative that best presents GDIT’s solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria. Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches. Experience with technical leadership and project management. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Foundational knowledge in the following disciplines:
    • Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
    • ITSM Automation & Orchestration
    • Machine Learning & AI
    • Large scale cloud migration (application, data, infrastructure)
    • Next-gen cyber defense capabilities (e.g. proactive threat detection & automated response)
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team. Ability to lead projects & provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with strategic goals & objectives. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, ability to build cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of driving change. Strong knowledge of government procurement and proposal processes Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions. Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills.
  • Location: This is a hybrid position working at our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $183,498 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
