Job Description

Join our technology leading team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. GDIT is seeking an enthusiastic Systems Administrator who is seeking to expand his/her experience in the IT field by joining our team as a Cyber Systems Administrator in support of the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission of the Airforce at Langley AFB, Va.

The Systems Administrator will be working with our Cyber team supporting the Air Forces’ Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DOC). Specifically, you will be providing Cyber Monitoring and Defense across a global enterprise. 

Role: Cyber Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper management of the ESS/HBSS server(s), including managing policy configurations, managing endpoint product updates

  • Ensure proper patching and configuration of the ESS/HBSS server

  • Ensure ePO functionality, to include detection, tracking, and organization of assets 

  • Ensure workstations and servers have all of the latest software

  • Ensue proper management of the Microsoft SQL Database that houses the ePO.

  • Configure/maintain ESS/HBSS environment on all required classified networks

  • Configure/maintain ECH/WCH failover capabilities

  • Implement DoD mandated security configurations, as well as industry best practices for ESS/HBSS

  • When directed or as required by policy, install and maintain security patches on HBSS servers

  • Work as part of an integrated team including system administrators, network engineers, ISSMs/ISSOs, CNDs, service desk analysts, and other personnel on site

  • Assist with desktop support tickets related to ESS/HBSS issues

  • Maintain familiarization with DISA Secure Host Baseline (SHB) Configuration

  • Maintain familiarization with networking VLANs and subnets

  • Perform Troubleshooting of computer hardware and software issues

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 5+ years of experience

  • Working knowledge of DISA Secure Host Baseline (SHB) Configuration

  • Working knowledge of networking VLANs and subnets

  • COMPTIA CySa Certification

  • COMPTIA Security Plus CE Certification

  • DISA ESS 5.10 201

  • DISA ESS 5.10 301

  • Endpoint Security ENS 10.7 Essentials

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
