Job Description

GDIT is hiring a Microsoft365 Architect to support a Microsoft365 implementation with a federal customer. The Microsoft365 Architect will serve as the technical lead for this Microsoft365 implementation including mentoring more junior staff. The Microsoft365 Architect will lead our design, requirements gathering, and implementation of the Microsoft365 solution.

This role is mostly remote; however, you must be able to be onsite 1x a week in Rockville, MD. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deploy Microsoft365 solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategies.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions including leading customer requirements discovery.
  • Integrate Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory Connect, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles.
  • Architect and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategies.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Integrate Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory Connect, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles.
  • Architect and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategies.
  • Assist end-users with M365-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot common problems related to Office applications, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Provide expertise in SharePoint, BOX, Teams, and file servers migration expertise
  • Work with PowerShell for various tasks as needed
  • Understand and manage Active Directory user accounts.
  • Communicate technical problems to a non-technical audience.
  • Provide customer service support related to Microsoft365.
  • Function as a technical lead and mentor more junior resources to install best practices and procedures across the entire technical team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 12+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years in Microsoft and Microsoft365 architecture (or equivalent education and experience)
  • 7+ years of hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Deep understanding of security concepts such as Zero Trust, DLP, Conditional Access, and MFA.
  • Experience with enterprise-level change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Proven track record of leading cloud transformation projects.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator Associate).
  • Experience working in regulated environments and/or with Federal customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $166,816 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
