Job Description

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Global Operations Center (GOC) Mission Systems - COOP:

  • Leverages COOP subject matter expertise in support of GOC Mission Systems engineering services and RDT&E activities.
  • Provides multi-disciplinary support for mission system services, including life cycle management, engineering, integration, and sustainment of required systems and assured connectivity in the GOC and all other locations within the USSTRATCOM Enterprise.
  • Supports the planning, development, testing, and delivery of holistic IT solutions for GOC Mission Systems.
  • Supports COOP planning, performs DR testing, and coordinates with owners of new systems to ensure disaster recovery requirements are considered and disaster recovery plans are made.
  • Enhances and maintains DR/COOP plans and documentation and validates recovery capabilities through periodic testing, including targeted recovery tests that are conducted throughout the year.
  • Performs technical and service planning and analysis based on GOC Mission Systems requirements (e.g., availability, capacity, performance, backup and IT continuity, and DR services).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education and Experience:  Technical Training, Certification(s) or degree and 8+ years of experience
  • Required Certifications:  FITSP-M or GSEC or CCSP or CFR or SSCP or Security+; ITIL 4 Foundation ITSM certification or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire
  • Desired Certifications:  Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP); or Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE); or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer; or GIAC Certified Disaster Recovery Specialist (GCDR); Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC); or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer
  • Security Clearance:  minimum Top Secret.  Must be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.  TS/SCI preferred
  • Location:  Onsite - Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $125,528 - $169,832. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
