GDIT seeks a Data Center Manager for our federal client in their Infrastructure team.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Demonstrated experience managing Data Center Operations similar in size, complexity, dynamics, availability and scope to that of the contract.
Demonstrated experience managing mainframe and server physical and logical security, disaster recovery failover, business continuity, and batch job scheduling in mainframe and distributed (i.e., Windows and UNIX) operating system environments.
Demonstrated experience managing large, complex server environments containing over 2,000 physical servers that host over 15,000 physical or virtual servers.
Demonstrated experience planning and executing server consolidation and virtualization efforts on Windows, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux in a production operational environment.
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise class storage across server technologies (e.g., Windows, Solaris, Red Hat, VMware) implementing operational best practices, provisioning standards, and storage migrations and optimizations.
Demonstrated experience with implementing ITIL standards and processes in a large, highly available, dynamic data center operation.
Demonstrated experience managing a 7x24x365 Data center that monitors a national service and manages faults and failures proactively and reactively.
Demonstrated experience managing IBM Z10 mainframe with z/OS Operating System.
Demonstrated experience translating between business requirements and technical implementation.
Demonstrated experience with systems engineering in the context of a large, complex infrastructure.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to this labor category (or additional equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
8+ years of working experience as outlined above is required
Excellent analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to interact professionally with executives, customers, vendors and department staff
Project management experience is a plus
U.S. Citizenship and background investigation is required; you must have a current clean financial background.
This position is onsite in Washington DC 8-5 M-F. However, the role also requires flexibility to support issues or planned activities after hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
Successful candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate technical skills and attitude for success, dedication and commitment.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
