Job Description

Our work depends on a Citrix Administrator joining our IT Technology Development division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters.  NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.

HOW OUR CITRIX ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Citrix Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining Citrix systems to ensure secure, efficient, and high-performance application delivery.

  • Managing Citrix NetScaler appliances, managing load balancing, applying SSL certificates, supporting organization VDI access (LEAP), and implementing security policies.

  • Monitor system health, tune performance, automate tasks using scripting tools, and apply necessary patches and updates. This involves supporting Citrix environments including, Provisioning Server and AppSense.

  • The role also includes administering published applications, handling tickets, managing Citrix infrastructure (VDI, VMware) and monitoring via tools like Citrix Director and Edge Sight.

  • This position requires deep technical knowledge of Citrix products, including Secure Gateway and NetScaler ADC, with a strong focus on performance, availability, and security.

  • Experience with Citrix provisioning services. 

  • Securing and hardening systems to include patching, updating, and applying STIGs to supported Citrix systems. 

  • Update and maintain master VDI images. 

  • Experience and or knowledge with domain/active directory administration, DNS and group policy objects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret clearance; Must be able to obtain a Top TS/SCI after

  • Required Experience: 8 years of progressive experience in relevant experience in administering and managing Citrix NetScaler environments and Windows operating computer systems.

  • Broad experience with virtualized environments, Virtual Desktop Presentation, various Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience in supporting enterprise VDI and Citrix infrastructure.

  • Required Certifications: DoD 8570  IAT II (CompTIA Security+ CE)

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Systems Technology or related field of study; comparable to technical certifications; or in lieu of education, 5 additional years of documented experience that addresses all requirements for the position

  • Location: Onsite at Quantico, VA

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $138,072 - $186,804. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
