At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Senior Information Security Policy Analyst joining our team in support of the Office of Technology Services team, within the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB). This role entails:
Policy Writing:
Experience with technical writing e.g., NIST 800-53 Baseline Policies / Procedures, Agency level strategies and Guidance documents
Supports full document lifecycle to include: conducting and leading research, drafting document, leading review cycle, and refreshing document in compliance with stated standards
Leads development of complex Agency documentation (e.g., Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management)
Conducts evaluation/assessment of historic documents for revisions against compliance, technical, organizational environmental changes
Supports continuous monitoring efforts to ensure documents are aligned to compliance requirements i.e., NIST standards and regulatory requirements
Leadership:
Independent worker, while on a larger team, the day to day of this role is largely individual
Leads junior practitioners on the team in the tracking of all workstream efforts
Triages work activities against priority deadlines
Provides status updates to all stakeholders, to include senior agency leadership (e.g., CISO and CIO)
Requirements
Familiarity with NIST 800-53 rev 4/5, Cybersecurity Framework and NIST Special Publications
Demonstrated experience applying 800-53 controls to cybersecurity and IT compliance programs
Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders contributing content and feedback
Awareness of the broader cyber landscape (e.g., latest Executive Orders, OMB mandates) and ability to anticipate impacts to Agency documentation
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

Less than 10%
The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
