Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Vulnerability Management Subject-Matter Expert/Technical Lead to support one of our federal customers on an enterprise cyber program in the DC metropolitan area. This hybrid position offers a mix of remote work and periodic support and on-site meetings with the customer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating endpoint vulnerability assessment tools, SIEM integration, and securing a diverse range of platforms and systems.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Operate endpoint vulnerability assessment tools and perform both agent- and network-based scanning.
  • Analyze and interpret vulnerability scanning results to identify systemic issues, root causes, and vulnerabilities.
  • Integrate vulnerability management use cases into Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Develop content for manual and automated reporting, dashboards, and alerts, focusing on vulnerability analysis, remediation status, and compliance with regulations and compulsory directives.
  • Secure environments, including cloud IaaS containerized environments, mobile platforms, and database platforms.
  • Ensure security of Windows, macOS, Linux (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux), and Unix operating systems (e.g., Solaris).
  • Secure federal business systems that support various functions such as financial management, budget, procurement, travel, property, HR/payroll, and data warehousing.
  • Oversee the security of clinical and/or scientific instrumentation.
  • (Preferred) Manage security in Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations for mitigating security risks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent experience and 7+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in operating endpoint vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Experience with agent- and network-based scanning and analysis of vulnerability assessment results.
  • Proven expertise in SIEM integration for vulnerability management use cases.
  • Ability to develop content for dashboards, reports, and alerts related to systemic issues, root cause analysis, vulnerability analysis, remediation status, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prior experience in the health domain.
  • Must have experience supporting a Government agency.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience in securing diverse environments including:
    • Cloud IaaS containerized environments
    • Mobile platforms
    • Database platforms
    • Windows and macOS operating systems
    • Linux and Unix operating systems (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Solaris)
    • Federal business systems
    • Clinical and/or scientific instrumentation
    • Strong risk analysis skills and the ability to provide actionable recommendations.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $124,100 - $167,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
