Procurement Assistant II

Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing on-going assistance for all aspects of the procurement process, including but not limited to; purchase reviews, processing and reconciliations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a variety of clerical duties in support of the procurement function
  • Assist in researching technology needs and how to procure essential technology products
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and receiving requisitions, checking each item for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements
  • May conduct status checks on invoices and track and maintain inventory levels
  • Assist procurement personnel with meeting coordination, organizing presentations, and preparing correspondence
  • Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED - 1+ years of related experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills with experience using advanced formulas and VBA macros
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external communications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical departments
  • Strong organization skills and high focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Experience with procurement practices
  • Experience in government contracting and knowledge of different contract types

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.40 - $27.60. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
