Job Description

Our work depends on a Unified Communications Technician joining our team to configure, implement, and maintain voice, data, and/or network communications systems.

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Good working knowledge of telecommunications industry as well as voice system design and engineering.

  • Apply technical concepts and ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.

  • Knowledge and experience of basic understanding of infrastructure wiring/connectivity.

  • Software support for IP, VoIP, PBX, voice mail, voice networks, and video systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Experience with Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) and Circuit Switching systems

    • Demonstrated ability to configure, install and troubleshoot secure voice devices

    • Extensive experience with Cisco IP telephony products including Unified Communications Manager, Unified Contact Center Express, Unity Connection, and Unified Presence.

    • Extensive experience with LAN technologies such as IP routing, switching, call routing, call management, call admission control, Quality of Service, network security, and network management.

    • Extensive experience with interconnection of multiple Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony systems via LAN and WAN connections utilizing Gatekeeper controlled and Assured Services SIP trunking.

    • Experience with various operating systems to include Linux, and Cisco IOS Command line interface (CLI).

    • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot complex voice network related problems to include call routing/dial plan management, one-way audio, SCCP/SIP registration errors, poor call quality, codec miss-matches, transcoding, and conferencing.

    • Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity.

    • Experience supporting customers' needs in large, medium, and small-scale operational environments and using all available resources. 

    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers. 

    • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions. 

    • Must be motivated, adaptable, flexible, and able to produce quality results in an evolving, fast-paced environment.

    • Good understanding of system networking over diverse topologies and environments to understand the limitations and advantages of different network/system architectures. Participates in engineering projects/efforts as tasked by management

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission

    • Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM’s IT environment

    • Cisco certifications

  • Location: On site in Tampa, FL

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
