Job Description

Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs! US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

Become part of a team with proven experience to maintain a large network that is critical to the DoD’s mission. We are currently seeking a unique individual with supply chain skills to assist in our enterprise procurement processes.

Responsibilities:    

  • Maintain Property Book and databases for inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excess, moved, or in transit. Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Shipping/receiving/coordination of national and international shipments. To include wrapping, forms creations, tracking, scheduling appoints, pickups and drop offs.
  • Inspect inbound inventory for accuracy and completeness, defects or notable damage and log/report discrepancies.
  • Perform data entry, research, and documentation of receiving issues in government, program, or company database.
  • Provide material handling coordination support to include shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property.
  • Generate documentation and completing required forms for shipping to include Pro Forma, ITAR, and other shipping documents and labels such as those required for hazardous materials.
  • Interact with vendors and other customers to obtain information, reconcile inventory discrepancies, prepare RMAs, and obtain EDD/ECD dates.
  • Maintain control of spares and perform required inventories and audits.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, bins, or containers according to predetermined sequence.   
  • Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned*          

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Secret clearance
  • BA/BS – may substitute additional years of experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel & Microsoft software products
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics database systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT equipment (routers, switches, thin clients…. etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of shipping carriers; DHL, FedEx, and USPS
  • Ability to multi-task supporting requests with varying timeline requirements.       
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience entering and manipulating information in asset management systems.
  • Experience with completing hand receipts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Experience processing DCS & Diplomatic Pouch shipments including knowledge of proper wrapping and forms creation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proficient in shipping procedures/ operations with various carriers and freight forwarders
  • Hazardous Material and/or Hazardous Waste Handling certificate; strongly desired
  • Forklift Certification

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $69,700 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
