As an Information Security Analyst Advisor, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Information Security Analyst Advisor joining our team to consolidate all Tier-1 IT service desks and moving from a human-centered Subject Matter Expert (SME)-based business model to a business model using a Knowledge-Based (KM) solution called Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD).
HOW OUR INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
As a Security Analyst Advisor, you will support the Lead Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Solutions Architect, and Technical Delivery Manager responsible for implementing and maintaining the program’s virtual infrastructure, architecture, and integrations with partner and customer systems.
In this role, you should bring Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience, the ability to easily communicate complex issues, and a drive for team success.
Provide expertise regarding customer laws, regulations and standards (i.e., Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and customer requirements to support their security and privacy compliance posture.
Support execution of Security Authorization package development, to include System Security Plan (SSP) content creation and updates, diagrams, and supporting documents.
Assist in resolution of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) items identified during security assessments and continuous monitoring activities.
Use expertise in various security platforms including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection systems, two-factor authentication systems, antivirus systems, secure email gateway appliances, web filtering proxy, security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, data-loss prevention, vulnerability detection, content filtering and identity and access management.
Conducts regular security control assessments of solutions/deployments to identify gaps as part of Continuous Monitoring phase.
Supports all directed Cybersecurity functions that are within scope of the NESD program, including Incident Response and Vulnerability Management.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Security Clearance requirement: Active DoD Secret clearance preferred. Must be Secret-eligible.
Required Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience working for or on behalf of Federal, State, and/or Local Governments.
Required Certifications: DoD certified IAT Level II or IAM level I
Work Location: Remote

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
