GDIT is your place.  Make it your own by discovering and leading new ways to apply the latest technology securely and expertly.  Our work depends on a Systems Engineering Services Lead joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Infrastructure & Network Engineering Services.  As a Systems Engineering Service Lead supporting Government, you will be trusted with enabling the customer to meet strategic goals for designing, engineering, and modernizing core enterprise IT services. 

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Managing systems professionals directly or through subordinate managers while offering leadership, coaching, and training

  • Acting as advisor to employees in meeting schedules and resolving technical problems

  • Developing schedules and performance requirements that encompass budget responsibilities

  • Enhancing information systems by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies for enterprise integration

  • Managing all information systems policies and procedures

What You Will Need:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.

  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following:  Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 8+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing IT engineering professionals

  • Demonstrated experience with Service Strategy, Design, and Transition

  • Systems Engineering experience with Infrastructure & Network Engineering, e.g., Load Balance & Traffic Management, Infoblox, Enterprise Monitoring, Identity &Access Management (IDAM), and Identity, Credential, & Access Management (ICAM).

  • Translate requirements into measurable and sustainable solutions within the existing application frameworks

  • Experience with engineering service lifecycle responsibility

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

  • Solid active listening, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
