  • Monitor system health using tools such as Instana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with Maximo developers and functional teams for environment readiness and support.
  • Manage integration with enterprise authentication (LDAP, SSO).
  • Patch and upgrade Maximo applications and supporting systems.
  • Create system documentation, runbooks, and participate in DR testing.
  • Work with security teams to harden and audit MAS environments.

Required competencies:

  • 3+ years administering Maximo systems (at least 1+ year with MAS 8.x or cloud-native equivalents).
  • Experience with OpenShift (or Kubernetes) in production environments.
  • Strong Linux (RHEL) skills; scripting (bash, Python) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IBM Cloud Pak architecture and deployment principles.
  • Experience with Db2/Oracle and backup/recovery procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Eight or more (8+) years of experience in information technology, software support and customer interaction
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in MAS software development and/or support.
  • Detail knowledge of MAS 8.x and its integration with other applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to these tools and their interactions.
  • Experience working within a queue-based ticketing system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly on the job and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience integrating MAS with SAP, GIS, or third-party systems.
  • IBM or Red Hat certifications.
  • CI/CD pipeline knowledge (Jenkins, GitOps).
