Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an experienced intelligence analyst professional for an Intermediate Cyber Intelligence Analyst position. This will be a full-time employment position at the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC).

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

The essential duties and tasks of the Cyber intelligence analyst assigned to the OCIAC include but are not limited to:

  • Provide relevant, timely, and actionable cyber threat intelligence to law enforcement investigators and members of the information technology community, especially on potential impact to their systems and equipment
  • Write cyber-related intelligence analysis and threat assessments, and support law enforcement investigations and task forces
  • Utilize publicly available information, and review real-time cyber threats and suspicious activity reports to provide situational updates and assessments to the center’s leadership and partners in the operational area
  • Collaborate with and serve as a cyber liaison to interagency, federal, state, and local partners to share various forms of intelligence and information
  • Support in the development of cyber tips/leads derived from fusion center reporting
  • Develop and provide cyber-related briefings tailored to various audiences
  • Coordinate closely with the OCIAC Cyber Coordinator and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Private Sector Coordinator assigned to the fusion center
  • Collect, organize, and review cyber information from open-source and internal law enforcement databases to support ongoing assessments and operations
  • Develop and maintain strategic analysis capabilities
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements
  • Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Participate in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of cyber research, analysis, and intelligence-oriented experience.
  • Must work onsite and be local to the area
  • Skillful with examining social media using online search tools and applications
  • Competency in developing and implementing strategic, mission-support initiatives
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to successfully engage and collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety agency executives
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Exceptional writing and public speaking skills to include briefings of public safety executives and public officials at all levels of government
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Desired: an active Secret security clearance

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical efforts and operations
  • Must complete an Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) background check, including a possible polygraph examination, before commencing employment or performing services at the fusion center

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
