MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As a GCCS Tier 1 Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM You will play a crucial role in software application support, configuration management support, and IT support services supporting GCCS services. Specifically, the GCCS Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. Responsible for ensuring system availability and reliability of the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) and related GCCS Family of Systems (FoS) on the networks.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer must have:

  • Certification: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 IATT level II compliance.

  • Experience: 2+ year of experience in IT System Administration and 2+ year of experience in Windows Server Operating Systems and/or Linux Operating Systems.

  • Technical skills:

    • Ensure COP availability to customer

    • Maintain database instances (Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL)

    • Create, work, and solve service requests using Remedy trouble ticketing system

    • Maintain and troubleshoot GCCS COP Server issues where they arise

    • Maintain Red Hat JBoss application servers.

    • Maintain and troubleshoot Enterprise Linux OS issues where they arise

    • Troubleshoot Agile Client application issues where they arise.

  • Desired Skills:

    • Experience with the following systems: SEWS, Radiant Mercury, JRE, JTT,TADL, Link, ADSI, JTAGS

    • Experience with: ICSF, COP, Agile Client, TMSWeb, KML/KMZ, MIL STD 2525D, ArcGIS, Google Earth

    • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs

    • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards

    • Experience with DoD IT security requirements

    • Experience with VmWare ESXi administration

    • Strong knowledge of Linux Server Operating Systems.

    • Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware).

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups.

    • Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance.

    • Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).

    • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible).

  • Security clearance level: Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Will work on site in Tampa FL at MacDill AFB. This is not a remote role.

  • US citizenship required due to the TS/SCI clearance requirement

  • Role requirements:

    • This is a shift work position supporting GCCS operations; 24/7 on-call is required for Nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must be able and willing to work 12-hour shifts, as needed.

    •  must also be available for and willing to travel, including international deployment to austere environments up to 10% annually and for durations of up to one-month at a time.

    • Valid U.S. passport.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
