Job Description

Program Analyst

GDIT is seeking a Program Analyst to serve as key liaison to other program departments that have specific business function and business analytics.

  • Collaborate with program departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
  • Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Assist with periodic forecast and budget creation for business leadership
  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the programs performance against budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Identifies cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
  • Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.
  • Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.
  • Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
  • Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.

Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and find solutions to solving them independently in a timely manner.
  • Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other applications.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Great knowledge of IT processes and willingness to constantly update knowledge.
  • Inbuilt ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously.
  • Able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to work independently on tasks which require analysis and action.
  • Work hours may include meetings schedule outside of normal working hours. Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
