Job Description
SUMMARY: Field Service Technician Senior, Tactical Internet – Camp Humphreys, South Korea – Secret Clearance Required. Primarily provides software support for the Tactical Internet Family of Systems: Blue Force Tracker Aviation, Joint Battle Command Platform, and Mounted Mission Command System to include any future replacement systems.How the Software Support Representative, Tactical Internet Family of Systems will make an impact:
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit Provide Functional and Technical Support to Blue Force Tracking Aviation modules to include Logbooks, Quality Control Office, Production Control Office, and Flight Operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit in the instruction and daily maintenance of all aircraft and logbook records with customers to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit to maintain and update an electronic database of common procedural issues and solutions or quick fixes to known issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit to Capture and File Electronic Trouble Reports and Software Change Requests
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit in Implementing New Aircraft into the system and assist with Aircraft Transfers
  • Provides Commanders and Staff with recommendations on how to best leverage JBC-P systems to meet their operational needs.
  • Attend S6/G6 Shift change briefing and participate in conference calls to identify issues with JBC-P systems
  • Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit for troubleshooting software and transceivers for network connectivity
  • Works in concert with Supply Support Activity (SSA) and CECOM Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARS) to ensure faulty LRUs are processed and replaced through the standard army supply system
  • Provide over-the-shoulder technical guidance to MIL/GOV personnel
  • Participates in special projects as required.  
  • Provides weekly/bi-weekly customer reports as required.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: Secret
● Role requirements: Graduate of DOD AVN Maintenance MOS Producing School, OR Graduate of FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) school OR Graduate of the APM BFT-AVN Technician Training Course and 2 years direct related experience may be substituted for a DOD Aviation Maintenance MOS or FAA A&P license.
  • Professional and effective written/verbal communication is required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.97 - $40.25. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
