Job Description

GDIT is seeking an Acquisition Strategy & Engagement Director who will be part of the Corporate Growth Team. In this role, the successful candidate will participate in strategy discussions and help create acquisition strategy for individual opportunities across the company. The successful candidate will also participate in strategic planning and other initiatives. 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Serve as a senior advisor on strategic, complex and high-value government contracts, providing guidance on risk, compliance, and positioning.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and shape strategies to strengthen the company’s competitive standing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners to inform and advance acquisition strategy.
  • Partner with contracts, growth, legal, finance, and delivery teams to navigate challenging contract situations and deliver optimal outcomes.
  • Anticipate changes in acquisition policy and regulation, ensuring the company is prepared and positioned accordingly.
  • Represent the company in strategic engagements with government and industry forums.
  • Mentor and guide internal teams to elevate acquisition strategy capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
The Acquisition Strategy & Engagement Director must have:
● Education: Bachelor's degree required
● Experience: 5+ years of federal contracting experience (Government or Industry)
● This position offers a hybrid work schedule with the expectation the selected candidate will work out of the Falls Church, Virginia office a minimum of three (3) days per week● Role requirements:
  • Senior-level government or industry experience with deep knowledge of federal acquisition processes, regulations, and contracting vehicles
  • Proven track record of shaping acquisition strategies and successfully navigating complex contract environments
  • Strong relationships and credibility with senior government stakeholders. Exceptional judgment, negotiation, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $173,400 - $234,600. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
