IT Installation Manager

Our work depends on the IT Installation Manager joining our team to ensure Congress’ upper body has the IT support and resources it needs to serve the American public.

HOW THE IT INSTALLATION MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Displaying a solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices as well as a familiarity with installation procedures, cabling, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrating experience in managing hardware installation projects, including an ability to create detailed plans, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborating with hardware vendors and suppliers, specifically to ensure timely delivery of hardware and adherence to specifications.
  • Displaying experience conducting site surveys to assess installation requirements, including optimal hardware placement and connectivity.
  • Verifying hardware installations meet quality standards, specifically by performing post-installation testing and validation.
  • Maintaining accurate records of installed hardware and preparing reports on project progress and completion.
  • Identifying potential risks related to hardware deployment and developing contingency plans to address unforeseen issues.
  • Supervising installation technicians and coordinating their activities while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Understanding security considerations and implementing measures to protect sensitive data and systems during hardware installation.
  • Interacting with end-users during installations and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or business administration; and a PMP Certification, ITIL Certification, or Continuity of Operations Planning Training are required.
  • Experience: at least eight (8) years of experience in management of IT installation, deployment, or infrastructure projects.
  • Security clearance level: All contract personnel must pass a United States Capitol Police background check and are required to be U.S. persons.
  • Skills and abilities: Experience delivering to ‘white glove’ service standards including stakeholder engagement, reporting, and team leadership while serving a large VIP population.
  • Location: Washington, D.C., with the possibility of hybrid performance
  • Visa Sponsorship will not be provided

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $43,888 - $0. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
