GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineering Sr. Manager to direct the technical aspects of a critical program supporting a mission critical program. This role requires a seasoned systems engineering expert with a deep understanding of complex technical environments and a proven ability to lead and mentor multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for a government IC program, overseeing four multidisciplinary teams operating in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
Serve as the primary technical expert, ensuring the successful development and implementation of all program initiatives.
Mange the operation and maintenance of a cross-domain solution (CDS).
Identify requirements for next-generation CDS for future implementation.
Act as a technical liaison between multi-disciplined teams and the government product owner to align technical and integration efforts with program objectives.
Guide and manage all technical aspects of the program, including signal development, testing, and processing.
Ensure technical compliance with all government-mandated requirements and program deliverables.
Ensure seamless integration of development, security, and operations across all teams.
Responsible for developing schedules, ensuring on-time deliverables, and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, proactively addressing challenges to keep the program on track.
Mentor and guide technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required:
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (must be adjudicated and in scope).
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on cybersecurity within classified IC or DoD environments.
Expert-level experience in systems engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex technical programs.
Extensive experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile methodologies.
Background in systems engineering, software development, or related technical disciplines supporting complex, classified government projects.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multiple teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with the operations, maintenance, and creation of cross-domain solutions (CDS).
Understanding of Zero Trust principles and segmentation in classified environments.
Familiarity with DevSecOps, software-defined networking (SDN), or IC cloud environments (C2S, SC2S).
Experience supporting lab environments and integration test events.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and secure system administration.
Professional certification(s) in one or more specific technologies: ISSAP, CCSP, PMP-ACP, PMP, BPM, CISSP are the preferred certification.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams, managing cross-team dependencies, and fostering collaboration.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $182,750 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
