Serves as a senior-level satellite communications subject matter expert responsible for advanced installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of complex SATCOM systems. Provides technical leadership and oversight for mission-critical communications infrastructure.
Lead the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced satellite communications systems supporting voice, video, RF, and data networks.
Design, configure, and optimize SATCOM solutions in accordance with mission and task-order requirements.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving satellite terminals, modems, and RF systems.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to junior technicians.
Exercise independent judgment in resolving system-level issues and implementing corrective actions.
Support coordination with vendors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all security, safety, and operational standards.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and reporting for systems and activities.
Clearance: Secret
Certifications
Must meet certification requirements specified in the applicable SPIN-C or individual task order.
General Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of communications systems. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and understand interrelationships of communications circuits and systems.
Experience providing technical leadership and supervision.
Specialized Experience
Expert-level experience with DSCS or commercial satellite terminals, including:
X-, C-, Ka-, Ku-band and Tri-band satellite terminals
FDMA, TDMA, and IP-based satellite modems

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $37.40 - $50.60. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
