Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Business Analyst to support a mission-critical Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) program. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between stakeholders and the software development team, translating complex business needs and mission requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring that solutions are aligned with DISA objectives, user needs, and program standards.This is a Hybrid role, and selected candidate will primarily provide on-site support at our Crystal City facility along with the ability to tele-work a few days a week. 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Business Process Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of DISA. You will play a crucial role in engaging with DISA stakeholders, end users, and mission owners to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for software developers.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and business context.
  • Conduct requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Assist in developing workflows, process maps, and data models to support solution design.
  • Validate delivered functionality against requirements through reviews, demonstrations, and testing support.
  • Maintain and manage requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and change control processes.
  • Support Agile ceremonies and help drive continuous improvement in requirements processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and business processes within the DISA environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Business Process Analyst must have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience required.  An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role supporting software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,850 - $116,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
