Job Description

Own your career as a Cyber Security Specialist I/ Cyber Security Analyst Associate at GDIT. ​Our work depends on the Cybersecurity Specialist joining our team with an active Secret clearance, supporting a federal Security Operations Center (SOC).

HOW A CYBER SECURITY SPECIALIST I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators

  • Individual contributors representing the most common entry point for technical employees; works under direct supervision.

  • Resolves technical problems that are typically not difficult or complex.

  • Works under supervision on less complex projects/ assignments.

  • Develops products, solutions, processes using basic principles, theories and concepts within own technical specialty.

  • Requires basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • The position requires an active Secret clearance

  • BA/BS in a related field. (If no degree Technical Training, Certification(s) or three (3) years of related experience could substitute for the four (4) year degree.)

  • Requires basic knowledge of, and ability to apply, principles, theories, and concepts of cyber security and IT Security.

  • Location: Washington, DC.

  • US Citizenship Required

  • Timeline: This work is anticipated to start anytime between August 2025 and March 2026.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $43,888 - $0. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
