Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  As a Deputy Program Manager, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Deputy Program Manager supporting a program located in Tampa, FL to assists the PM in the management of a large, complex Internet-based program with particular focus on PMO internal processes and procedures, requirement and fulfillment tracking, infrastructure requirement tracking, and auditing functions.

  

HOW A DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provides inputs to program support strategy development. Ensures program efforts are coordinated and planned in accordance with client guidance, data analysis, assessment, and client priorities.

  • Assists in the enforcement of standards, schedules, quality, and conformity and the resolution of issues.

  • Supervises PMO supporting staff and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.

  • Supports administrative matters including recruiting operation coordination, leave coordination, travel coordination/reporting, procurement and expenditure approval processing, and customer-specific training compliance and documentation.

  •  Supports PMO and corporate finance management in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting data as requested.

  •  Conducts audits and analysis of the vendor costs, prepares reports and reviews project process asset library, proving inputs on refinements or new process assets.

  • When requested, liaises with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.

  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.

  • Maintains current knowledge of technical developments relevant to the operation of the PMO and the substantive program work.

  • Responsible for preparation of technical proposals and cost proposal inputs on new tasks.

  • Manages project artifacts.

  • Assists in ensuring compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.

  • Captures lessons learned and best practices and supports efforts to apply them across related program efforts.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a related business or technical discipline

  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience. Experience managing large multi-region marketing, advertising, online or related efforts is preferred.  Familiarity with program policy issues preferred. Familiarity with Combatant Command HQ operational environments is highly preferred

  • Security clearance level:  Active TS/SCI eligibility required. 

  • Certification: PMP certification is preferred.

  • Location: Customer Site

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
