As a Senior Release Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the ongoing operations of our live Modernized EHR system with Indian Health Service (IHS). This includes coordinating new software release management and upgrades, overseeing the Service Desk operations, managing escalations, and ensuring effective training for new hires in the use of the EHR system.This role is fully remote!HOW THIS POSITION WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule and within budget.
  • Supports planning, testing, tracking, release and upgrades, deployment, communication, and risk management.
  • Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
  • Develop rollback criteria and plans for rolling back a deployment.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Resolve and escalate impediments, manage risk, assures value delivery, and drives program-level continuous improvement.
  • Prepare project execution plan and identify appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment.
  • Review status of projects and budgets. manage schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing commitment to the customer experience through performance testing and monitoring.
  • Communicating checkpoints for releases during sprints: increment cut off, begin and complete testing
  • May supervise others
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in system administration and support, with a focus on post-go-live operations within the healthcare industry, preferably with EHR systems
  • Experience providing detailed engineering and technical leadership to engineering staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks
  • Experience developing and implementing release schedules and performing release deployments
  • Must have have hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium, Federal experience
  • Must have experience with progressive project control as it relates to configuration management and release management
  • This role requires you to obtain and maintain an in-depth Public Trust Level 5. This investigation will review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Release and/or project management experience on a large IT program supporting government customers
  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL V4 Foundation or equivalent higher certifications

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
