Job Description

Cloud FinOps Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated FinOps Analyst to join our Financial Operations (FinOps) Team as we transition our Enterprise Desktop Information Technology services into the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This is a newly created role responsible for overseeing cloud financial management, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting procurement activities in a dynamic cloud-first organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud financial operations, preferably within Azure environments, and familiarity with Kion or similar cloud financial management tools (e.g., Cloud Health, CloudCheckr, or AWS Cost Explorer). The candidate must be a self-starter with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for driving cost savings and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

● Track, report, and forecast all Azure cloud-related costs across the program.

● Utilize Kion (or similar FinOps platform) to monitor, analyze, and manage cloud spending.

● Ensure all Azure virtual devices and resources are properly tagged, categorized, and aligned with financial tracking requirements.

● Identify and recommend cost savings opportunities and operational efficiencies within the Azure environment.

● Collaborate with technical teams to optimize resource usage and reduce unnecessary cloud expenditures.

● Partner with the Procurement Team to support financial purchases related to Azure and enterprise IT services.

● Assist in obtaining and managing vendor quotes and ensuring timely processing through corporate Supply Chain Management.

● Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards to leadership on cloud spend, trends, and optimization strategies.

● Stay current with cloud financial best practices, emerging FinOps tools, and Azure cost management enhancements.
