HOW A FACILITIES SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Schedules, coordinates, and implements facilities projects and plans facilities utilization.

  • Provide site and client support for secure locations within the GDIT Facilities portfolio (Locations: D.C., Maryland and Virginia)
  • Maintain regular communication with facility points of contact (POCs) and site leads including communication with the operations team of the Intelligence and Homeland Security Division
  • Assist with special projects managed by the GDIT Real Estate & Facilities team
  • Support sustainability initiatives as directed by Real Estate & Facilities management
  • Coordinate repairs, cost estimations, adjustments, and routine maintenance of facilities
  • Ensure accountability for government-furnished equipment, if applicable
  • Prepare and present concise briefings to Facilities leadership regarding equipment and facility status
  • Manage orders and inventory of supplies and materials
  • Process incoming supplies and materials and oversee distribution
  • Coordinate office move coordination, including recommendations, planning, communication and execution including vendor coordination
  • Maintain maintenance records, conduct periodic inspections, and ensure site equipment remains fully operational
  • Estimate costs for repairs, replacements, and facility improvements
  • Organize and oversee repairs, replacements, and improvements as necessary
  • Act as a liaison with external contractors and vendors
  • Apply general knowledge of facility management principles, security functions, and relevant site technologies, including IT and AV
  • Support ongoing centralization efforts across GDIT’s portfolio
  • Operate under general supervision while proactively managing assigned responsibilities
  • Align to GDIT procurement policies and other directives
  • Perform additional duties as needed


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education


● Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential


● Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with POLY. This position is contingent upon receipt of clearance.
● Required Skills and Abilities: Facilities management
● Preferred Skills:

-          Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

-          Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

-          Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

-          Ability to effectively prioritize tasks

-          Strong customer service orientation

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $60,350 - $81,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
