In an industry in which many workers depend on security clearances, last year Gilliland launched “How are you, really?” an internal campaign to destigmatize mental health issues and encourage treatment among employees in need.
With a workforce of more than 30,000, including 8,250 employees in Virginia, Gilliland says what makes her passionate about her job is the “people forming the mission.” GDIT reported $8.5 billion in revenue in 2021, and in March, GDIT landed a $4.5 billion contract to provide services for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
