Onboarding FAQs

When is New Hire Orientation?

GDIT Gateway Orientation is conducted every week. Led by our Onboarding Partners, Orientation is our where we start to assimilate our newly hired talent into GDIT, teach them how we deliver mission performance operating as one, and how we drive success by living our core values. New employees with a confirmed start date will receive a welcome email with day 1 instructions from their Onboarding Partner. This communication will be sent to the new employees personal email address with the onboarding session invitation and dial in information.

How do I complete my I-9?

New employees will receive instruction in their welcome email with day 1 instructions. Employees are to complete section 1 of the I-9 form and your manager or GDIT assignee will assist with completing section 2.

When will GDIT Benefits be available to me?

Benefits are available to all new hires on their effective date of hire. Benefit offerings are for FT employees or PT employees working 30 hours or more. You will have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in your benefit plan.

When will I have access to the GDIT Network?

As a new employee, your hiring manager will send you your log in credentials. This will include your user name and password needed to access the GDIT Network.

What is GDIT's pay schedule?

GDIT employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule.

Will I be provided with a charge code for orientation activities?

Yes, your Onboarding Partner will provide you with a charge code for your onboarding session. All other project and charge codes will be provided to you by your hiring manager.

If I am a rehire to GDIT, how will my years of service be bridged?

Former employees should work with their Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to obtain additional guidance on bridging their service, if eligible.

GDIT Connect has a Hiring Manager Toolkit with resources ranging from new hire checklists, how to create a job requisition, and various ways to connect to candidates as well as newly hired talent. In addition, GDIT has a People Manager Development Programs.

Are there Employee Discount Programs I can utilize?

Yes, and we encourage you to take advantage of all there is to offer. There are discounts on entertainment, travel, wellness, electronics, vehicle purchase programs and more.

I am looking for wellness information. What kind of offerings does GDIT have?

GDIT Total Rewards offers a wealth of well-being initiatives such as wellness coaches & events as well as healthy partners.

Who do I contact for further questions regarding my benefits & 401K?

GDIT Benefits & 401K are managed through Fidelity NetBenefits. US Employees can contact an advisor via phone at 888-432-3633; if you are an internal employee call 617-563-3782.

Does GDIT offer an education assistance Program?

GDIT views education assistance as an investment in the development of our employees – one that is mutually beneficial to the employee, the company, and our customers. Regular full-time employees with one year of service with GDIT (from last hire date) are eligible to apply for Education Assistance. Employees must be in good standing with GDIT and demonstrate consistently positive performance evaluations.

Does GDIT offer certification programs?

Learning & Development offers meaningful learning solutions and certification programs to deepen your expertise and expand your technical capabilities.

Following your 1st day with GDIT, the Talent Experience team is available to connect you to new hire initiatives such as: Employee Resource Groups, Communities of Interest, Toastmasters, Coffeehouse and much more.
