Job Description

Our work depends on Hardware Engineer Associate joining our team to ensure best practices are followed for hardware and cable management for a cleaner and more efficient data center infrastructure. This role will be onsite in Rensselaer, NY.

HOW A HARDWARE ENGINEER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Troubleshoots, installs, and removes networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, installs, and removes networking cables.
  • Works with the Network Operations and Projects teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and complete projects.
  • Escorts vendors on site to ensure completion of work.
  • Receives, inventories, and tags new Networking equipment.
  • Removes and decommissions old networking equipment.
  • Keeps inventory of parts on hand and orders more when needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BA/BS and 0+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Knowledge of hardware and network cable troubleshooting, installation, and removal
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, management, and customers
  • Must have organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • US Citizenship Required

NICE TO HAVE:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • A+ Certification
  • Fiber cable certification
  • Data Center Technician certification

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $52,800 - $79,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
