Our work depends on Hardware Engineer Associate joining our team to ensure best practices are followed for hardware and cable management for a cleaner and more efficient data center infrastructure. This role will be onsite in Rensselaer, NY.

HOW A HARDWARE ENGINEER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Troubleshoots, installs, and removes networking equipment.
Troubleshoots, installs, and removes networking cables.
Works with the Network Operations and Projects teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and complete projects.
Escorts vendors on site to ensure completion of work.
Receives, inventories, and tags new Networking equipment.
Removes and decommissions old networking equipment.
Keeps inventory of parts on hand and orders more when needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

BA/BS and 0+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
Knowledge of hardware and network cable troubleshooting, installation, and removal
Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, management, and customers
Must have organizational skills
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
US Citizenship Required

NICE TO HAVE:

3+ years of related experience
Active Secret clearance
A+ Certification
Fiber cable certification
Data Center Technician certification

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $52,800 - $79,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
